Eastern European Adventure - Around Slovenia

Of all our travels, Slovenia topped our stops. It is such a small country surrounded by Austria, Hungary, Croatia, and Italy, but it is filled with so much natural beauty, wonderful people, and lovely towns and cities. I think we all fell in love with the vineyards and quaint little farms lush with fruit trees and gardens, the coastal cities along the Adriatic Sea, and all the homemade, yummy food, and the incredible wine. Ljubljana, the capital, was the loveliest European city yet. It hummed with locals and was a perfectly balanced city of amazing cuisine, art, architecture, and local shops.

Entering Slovenia from Austria via our train.

The homes were so quaint and charming - lots of fruit trees, gardens, and grape vines.

A lovely little town in southwestern Slovenia. I loved the homes perched on the steep hills.
